Prompt Shoot Peer Review

Christina's Blog: http://christinaannf.blogspot.com/2015/01/prompt-shoot-3.html#comment-form

  1. I liked her "yummy" picture the most. I liked this picture the most , because you can tell that the popcorn was the main subject. The lighting was really good, it was not not to dark but it was also not too bright.
  2. My least favorite picture was the locker picture. I could tell that the main subject were the lockers , but I could not tell what prompt was.
  3. Overall I think she did really good with lighting. She also did good with following some rules of photography.
  4. One area that she could improve on is making sure the picture clearly shows the prompt.
  5. She did the best portraying the pose picture. It was really clear that the prompt was pose.
  6. The picture that least portrayed the prompt was the locker picture. I could not tell what the prompt was.

2014

This is one of my favorite pictures of 2014, because I like Taylor Swift and her music , and I really enjoyed this performance on Good Morning America.
This was another picture that I consider one of mum favorite pictures of 2014. This is one of my favorite pictures because ebola was a huge topic of 2014, many people have lost their lives and loved ones due to ebola.
This is my all time favorite picture from 2014. I think this selfie is so funny , because not everyone was ready for the picture. I really like all the celebrities in this photo as well.
  1. The best song of 2014 in my opinion was Stay With Me by Sam Smith. The song was very popular when it came out and I really like Sam Smith and his music. Sam Smith is a great artist and I really like his songs.
  2. The best movie of 2014 in my opinion was 22 Jump Street. That movie was my favorite because it was really funny. Canning Tatum and Jonah Hill are 2 of my favorite actors. That movie was a great movie and it is my favorite of 2014.

3. I think the most important news story of the year was Ebola. Ebola was a huge thing in 2014 and I think it the most important. Ebola was really big in Africa and the United States. People that had ebola were separated from the rest of society to be taken care of. Many people lost their lives to ebola but some fortunately survived.
4. The most important person in 2014 was Beyonce. I think she was the most important person this year for many reasons. One being that her music is amazing and so catchy.  Another reason she was important was because she was a role model and inspiration for many people. One of her most popular song "Pretty Hurts" was very inspirational and really inspired people.
5. The most important entertainment story of 2014 was Kim and Kanye's Wedding. They had a baby named North West the year before. The wedding was a major event in 2014 and thats why I think it was the most important. They showed the wedding and the proposal on a few episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
1. One thing that I will remember is going to two of my friends birthdays parties. They were so fun and I got to be with my close friends and I met a lot of new people.
2. My New Years Resolution this year is to be more focused in school and get better grades than I did last semester.
3. I am looking forward to many things this year. I don't have anything specific in mind, but I am excited to see what happens this year and the new people I will get to meet.

Final Extra Credit

A man was harassing people at the subway station , and when Ki Suk Han tried to peacefully stop him, the man pushed Han into the path of where the subway was arriving. Photographer Umar Abassi said he tried to help Han , but when he realized he couldn't he starting taking pictures hoping that the flash would warn the driver.

Umar Abassi said he took the photo so that the flash going off would alert the driver.
I think it was good idea that Abassi took the photo for many reasons.
Although Umar tried to help Han, I think he could have tried to help more. He could have helped Han more or gotten other people to help him as well.

I agree that the photo should be on the front page of the newspaper. I agree , because it alerts people of what really happened and they can actually see how it happened through the picture.

To a photo journalist capturing what is happening in life is more important than trying to stop things from happening. I think this , because that is how photo journalist make a living and maybe if they stop something from happening they ruined their chance of having their picture on a front page.

I think it is acceptable because they were the ones who photographed that thing so it is their right to involve their selves.
I think that a photo journalist should influence events as they happen , because just them photographing the event is influencing it.

The most appropriate thing for a photographer at this point in time would be to photograph the event. Some people might not agree with this , but this is how some people make a living.

Final Review

Mr. Smith has found his monkey on the streets of Paris, France this morning around 10:00 am, they are preparing to move to the United States. Mr.Smith looked for his monkey for the past week and was stressing because they were planning on moving to the United States.

A group of people are running a race today in Guatemala to raise money for a local charity. These people were about to finish the race for the local charity.

  1. Rule of Thirds- when the subject of a picture is in line with the lines on the view finder
  2. Balancing Elements- making sure that the picture is balanced and has equal parts to it
  3. Leading Lines- The lines in the picture are somehow leading to the main subject or making it stand out more
  4. Symmetry & Patterns- break the patterns in some way to make the main subject pop out more
  5. Viewpoint- The angle in which you will take the picture from to make it more interesting
  6. Background- having a simple yet interesting background to make the main subject more evident
  7. Create Depth-add more "layers" from the background such as hills, and mountains etc.
  8. Framing-placing natural frames such as trees and holes etc. to create a frame for the picture
  9. Cropping- making sure that nothing else in the picture is in the way of the main subject and "cropping" things that are in the viewfinder
  10. Mergers and avoiding them- use plain backgrounds and objects that won't interfere with the main subject
